1. The Lessons Of Trindade (16:55) - This music I originally composed while camping on the beach at Trindade in Brazil, 1979. It is an epic work of three parts, each a teaching of my own personal growth at that time.
Part1 - 'Ahimsa'-sanskrit for non-violence
Part2 - 'Criacao'-Brazilian for creation
Part3 - 'La Temperanza'-Spanish for temperance (card 14 of the Tarot)
However on this album only parts 1 & 3 occur on this 17 minute journey.
The music is very textural and travels through a multitude of moods and instruments. It features beautiful stereo accoustic guitars, dueling electric guitars and ping-pong delayed flutes, whose stereo panning effects can only be fully appreaciated with a set of headphones, fretless bass guitar, piano as well as the multitude of drums and percussion rhythms criss-crossing in 5/4 and 5/8.

2. Beyond The Music (5:13) - composed in 1985 for the flute and superbly played by Tony, backed by stereo guitars, strings and percussion. The title is an expression of the feeling I had while composing and journeying with this music.

3. Two Geets (4:47) - Originally just two accoustic guitars (hence the title) using an unusual scale. The tablas were added impusively when Koashal, the tabla player was in the studio for another recording and suddenly I flashed that it would fit perfectly with this piece.

4. The Ebb (4:49) - A gentle, melodic tune which I played for hours and hours whilst composing. Tony plays the main flute melodies and Don Ruttan the velvet bed of flute harmonies.

5. Garden (5:48) - is one I composed on the keyboards, as I usually compose on guitar.Hence the unusual chord changes and movements. The first guitar solo is again with two electric guitars, while the second is one guitar played through a harmony machine specially programmed to change with the modulating chords.

6. Fill My Heart (3:21) - The complexity and depth of the previous piece is contrasted by this short, sweet, light and melodic composition featuring the flutes of Tony Buchanan. It conveys the feeling of being filled with spiritual love.

7. Suite O Beat (6:37) - I composed this originally as a suite for flute, guitar and bass, but it evolved into a symphonic piece as I began recording it on the computer. The title is a play on words. "Sweet o beat!" South African slang for "that's great!". So choose the meaning you derive out of the music.

8. Santavox (5:29) - The title was derived from the original two instruments I composed it for (the Santoor and the angelic " Voices" sound on my synthesiser). The soaring flutes, strings and voices conjure up deep feelings of ecstatic, majestic splendour.

Recorded at Kittani Music Studio 1990 to 1991 and released in May '91 on cassette and July '92 on CD.

This music was almost entirely, spontaneously composed and played in my studio.

1. Drifting Through The Inner Realms (21:30) - My friend Paul was on vacation from Sydney over Easter '87, staying with me here in the rainbow region. We spent some time playing and jamming on our instruments together. I sat at the synthesiser and we said "let's jam in E flat"...and Paul drifted into these magical flute realms.

2. Hear The Distance (3:00) - is Paul improvising solo flute. I added a few effects and 'voila'.

3. Fine Touch (12:15)- I wanted a really smooth drone to create this certain texture and tension over which I could play a touch of fine, precise, dramatic accoustic guitar melodies.

4. One Moment (5:55) - Conceived in the moment, this is a perfect 4 chord wonder. So simple yet so effective. I composed the basic melody line and expressed to Don the gentle and soaring feeling, and he played the most superb flute.

5. Maui (9:19) - is one I composed in '84 on the island of Maui, Hawaii. After recording it withPaul playing such smooth pure flute it was the perfect track to end this album.

Recorded in 1987 and first released on cassette in '87. Digitally remixed in 1991 released on CD and cassette in July '92.
